New web ad by the SD Campaign for Healthy Families. Check it out. This is an important message regarding Initiated Measure 11 and it's dangerously vague language.
I am a graduate of Bloomsburg University and consider myself a middle of the road/crossing the isle kind of voter rather than an old school straight ticket Democrat or Republican.
However, don't kid yourself, I tend to lean Democratic more than Republican.
My interest in politics soared leading up to the 2004 election thanks to a college friend, Jake Miller, who was responsible for founding the campus organization 'Democracy Matters', a group created to inspire college students to not only to get out and vote but also know what they are voting for.
I make my political decisions based on what is best for me and best for America. I believe George W. Bush hasn't been good for either.
Leaning Right: Matt
I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio but have called South Dakota "home" since 2000.
I watched the Bush, Clinton and Perot debates in 1992 with great interest and ever since I've had an intense interest in national politics.
I vividly remember the morning when President Clinton was first elected and hearing my father go into a rage about the headline in our local paper: "Clinton wins by a Landside.” Yes, a 44% landslide. The anger I observed sparked my interest even more and assisted me in my decision to study Political Science at Miami University.
Since college, I have simply been an observer. But, that is about to change with this blog.
Added bonus? My wife won’t have to tell me to shut up as much when the discussion of politics comes up in our home!
